stacking

Post by sayitfast » 18 Nov 2019, 09:53

I often stake subs of different exposure times... that creates files like this:

IC 1805_300sec_1x1_filter5_HA_frame1.fit
IC 1805_600sec_1x1_filter44_HA_frame1.fit

The program will only stack either the 300 or the 600 but not both.

Would it be possible to stack both?

Thanks

That is possible. A assume the program sees different object names or filter in the files. If so you should you uncheck the option classify by "image object" and uncheck classify by "filter" (near the stack button). To use the correct dark you should also check mark classify by "dark exposure time". It will then use the correct dark for each exposure if available. So a 300 sec dark for 300 sec exposure and 600 sec dark for 600 seconds exposure.
