Measuring Frame

Post by 515bonner » 13 Sep 2019, 03:25

I have look through the help files but find no mention as to what units the measuring frame takes.
Is the measuring frame unit in degrees, minutes, seconds, pixels... a little confused!

The unit of the measuring frame is arcminutes, so 1/60 of a degree. You can set the size in File, settings, tab setting. The hint of the input box indicate arcminutes. You can rotate the measuring frame by holding the CTRL key and roll mouse wheel.

Note you can also measure distances and angle by pressing the right mouse button and pulling a rectangle. The distances and angle are indicated in the statusbar but don't release the mouse button, just reduce the rectangle again to avoid a zoom in.

Thanks for the quick reply. After studying it for awhile last night I came to the conclusion it was arcmin, but just wanted to make sure.
Have a good weekend!
