ASTAP general use

Post by bizzers » 24 May 2019, 16:51

Hi Han,

I'm returning to ASTAP after a long time away.
Some of the options/controls seem to have moved or gone away.
I have taken a picture (Furthest I can see from my home in daylight)
The camera's raw output is .fits
I have split to four channels.

I have three queries.
The files I load seem to be at half size, is this normal ? Images from my camera are 4640 x 3506. The ASTAP status bar says 2320 x 1753.
Has the option to select the bayer pattern been removed ? I can't find it.
The split files ......_p11.fit _p12.fit _p21.fit _p22.fit I have to upload for you to see. I don't know the maximum file size I can upload. Can you tell me please ?

Regards.

Hi Han,

a link to my split files
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

The first 3 files look like they need something doing to them (debarring) but the 4th file looks a bit like the original. Is this what you would expect ?

Thanks.

Sorry I have missed your posts. Yes the files become half size. That is normal since you transfer a 2x2 pixel in 1 pixel.

You have to set the sliders to manual, but I have clearly the impression these files are not split from a raw file but a file already containing colour. If the leaves are green and the bricks are red, they should near black at some files. A raw file should be without colour.

HiHan,

thanks for looking at this.

I have clearly misunderstood how I should process this data. The camera is a one-shot colour. The image is shot in raw mode. The camera is the Touptek ATR3-16000-KPA Cooled.

Can you tell me what I may be doing wrong ?

I will have a look now.

I have uploaded two test files my with my QHY8 camera at:

https://ufile.io/m3j55wuv

These are raw files. You can demosaic them to make colour or split the raw in p11, p12, p21, p22 . So twice green , red and blue.

Maybe I didn't receive your posting by mail. I have to look to my settings.

The original file is RAW. Strange. Splitting doesn't do much. Let me check whats going on.......
