Manual, one star

Hello Han. When summarized in "Manual, one star" "Imaqe filter" on. Most of the image is not visible.

Hello Serg,

I see something similar here. Strange it worked in previous versions. I looks like I damaged something in the code. I also noted you have to selected method average. Will fix it this afternoon.

I use this method exclusively for comets.

I'm still working on improvements in colour stacking.

Here is happened because for one image there was no reference point was given. Before you hit the stack button, you have to double click on each image in the list and select the reference object. The name in the list turns then green. You will see the reference X,Y position far right in the list.

Does it work if you follow these steps?.

I will add a protection to prevent stacking before all references are made.

All file names turn green. X, Y are calculated for all files. The result hasn't changed.

Hello Serg,

I have tested it here with your files but it all work as desired.

Can you try the latest version 0.9.158 just uploaded. I have added a check if all files have a reference point. It should not matter since you see all files turning green.

Can your try it with some different files or try to fix it in an other way. Somehow it doesn't work at your place and I have no idea why.

p.s. I have added a new demosaic routine "astro bilinear interpolation. This make white stars for the case you have undersampled files. Also the pixel math tab has been extended. There is an auto button for finding the settings for neutral background and stars.

I don't understand what happening.

Does it happen with an other set of files?
How many files are you stacking?
What kind of object do you select. A star?
Do you see the square around the clicked object? The square is automatically centered on the object.
Can you send me a screenshot of the X, Y values in the image list? Do the X, Y values make sense? They should match with the object you click on.
Can you send me the log?
Can you send me two files your using for testing?

I put from 1 to 6 files in R G B channels.
The object is a comet.
There is a square around the comet.

The formulas indicate something goes wrong:

8:51:49 Solution x:=x+-1428.120000, y:=y+-1221.050000
8:51:50 Solution x:=x+-1416.130000, y:=y+-1220.680000

I'm pretty sure it is related to separate R, G, B files. Will try to fix it, but I'm also struggling here with a hard disk failure.

I have fixed it in version 0.9.158a. Made a mistake in the code. My main hard disk has failed so it is temporary uploaded as a zip file at:

The comet is aligned but the stars are spread out making it an interesting image.
