ASTAP macOS releases

Hi Han,

I've seen that you are uploading updated versions for Windows and 64 Linux very frequently, but on macOS we are stuck at 0.9.305 since 2nd December. As a macOS user, I'm mildly upset by this discrimination (just kidding :P).

I'm an iOS developer, so I can offer you my help, if is needed, to generate such builds.

Regards

Hello Rbarbera,

I will issue a new version for the Mac the next day(s) It is the same source but the compiling environment is a little cumbersome. I have a virtual machine running MacOS on an old laptop with an Intel processor. Maximum screen resolution is 640x480 pixels. :( Testing is also limited.

If your adventurous, you could could compile yourself. The source is Object Pascal using Lazarus IDE. No libraries are required.

Thanks Han, much appreciated!
A small bug that has been there for some time in the Mac version, but not on Windows as far as I can tell:

On ASTAP's main window, there are two text fields that allow to type in the image coordinates. When double clicking, you can enter the name of the target object instead (a pretty handy feature btw).

Two issues on Mac afterwards:
- after closing the dialog where you can enter the object name, the coordinates get updated in the text fields, but the numerical values just on the right don't. You have to manually remove at least one digit, re-enter it, and then the numerical coordinate on the right will be updated
- once you have double-cliked on either textfields, any subsequent single click will be interpreted as a double click. Consequence: if you want to edit the text field, you have to select another field in the UI, then manually press tab a couple of times for the textfield to get focus.

Hello Ben,

Thanks for the feedback. Feedback from MacOS is rare so this helps. I will try to fix it the next week. First I have to finish the new "inspector" tab in ASTAP:

This is fixed in ASTAP version 0.9.315 for macOS. I have disabled the double click (in mac only, could not fix it) but added an popup menu (right mouse click) where you can select 1) search deepsky object, 2) copy, 3)paste.

Clear skies,
Han

Thanks Han, I can confirm the fix works (double click disabled on macOS, contextual menu works and coordinates get updated afterwards)
