I just updated my Windows 10 system with the new HNSKY. I downloaded the Windows setup program and it seemed to have a security problem when I tried to install it from my downloads folder

. So I used a trick and moved the setup program to my desktop, and it installed without a hitch. It claims to be 4.0.0 beta 3 and seems to have kept all my previous settings... nice

Good to hear it works at your system.
The problem of the initial slow object menu is just solved in version 4.0.0ß4, now available.
Version 4.0.0 was a big revamp in the program code. So some things could have slipped. Please report any problem or abnormal behavior.
Clear skies, Han

Hello
Version 4.0.0b4 works as advertised, even with the French language file. Great work!

Hello François,
Just found and fixed a last bug. The hints are not working in the bottom half of screen. Look for version 4.0.0ß5. Hopefully the last mayor problem.
Regards, Han

Hello François,
Just noted the "Home documents" for the Linux version contain some files which do not belong there.
All.ini files (20?) including the french.ini can be removed from ~/.hnsky. Also the three .hnd files. They are already included at /opt/hnsky. I have corrected the "Home documents" archive now but you can remove them manually to save a little disk space.
I discovered it after making a Hickson galaxy cluster supplement just now provided. The Hickson will also be added to the main Deepsky level 3 database in next version.
Enough for today. Time to relax here.
Regards, Han
