Re: plate solver coordinates

No problem, it is always J2000. The database is J2000 so the result is also J2000. There is no routine to convert it. But all maps and info about objects is in J2000 so it doesn't make sense to convert it to Jnow. All other solvers also report in J2000 for the same reason. I can only move post withi...

Re: CCD inspector

Hello Helga, In ASTAP latest version 0.9.315, I added some extra numbers to the screen and the tilt & curvature is now expressed in delta hfd values. There is also a new inspector tab but that's becomes very technical. See: https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/690595-what-does-percent-curvature-meanho...

Re: ASTAP macOS releases

This is fixed in ASTAP version 0.9.315 for macOS. I have disabled the double click (in mac only, could not fix it) but added an popup menu (right mouse click) where you can select 1) search deepsky object, 2) copy, 3)paste.

Clear skies,

Re: ASTAP macOS releases

Hello Ben, Thanks for the feedback. Feedback from MacOS is rare so this helps. I will try to fix it the next week. First I have to finish the new "inspector" tab in ASTAP: https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/690595-what-does-percent-curvature-meanhow-is-it-calculated/page-3#entry9928932 Clear skies, ...

Re: CCD inspector

Hello Helge, The curvature value is only indicating that the stars shapes in then center of the image are smaller then at the outer areas. That can be due to wrong corrector distance or simple due to optical laws that the star shapes further away from center get a little oval. Any curvature indicati...

Re: ASTAP macOS releases

Hello Rbarbera, I will issue a new version for the Mac the next day(s) It is the same source but the compiling environment is a little cumbersome. I have a virtual machine running MacOS on an old laptop with an Intel processor. Maximum screen resolution is 640x480 pixels. :( Testing is also limited....
