I have added a new option to show the distortion of an image in version 0.9.147. The lines show the 50xoffset of the image stars and the Gaia star database.

This could help to analyze why some images are difficult to solve. My astrograph images are almost perfect but this one shows severe distortion. You could use either the internal solver and the astrometry.net solver.

Usage:

1) Load image and click solve.
2) Select distortion tool.
